Good spot for a couple getaway
The room was compact but comfortable with fluffy towels that was just like clouds on my skin, very refreshing after a long day. The staff were helpful too, they even held our bags after checkout letting us enjoy the day without a worry.
It wasn't cheap but I guess you pay for the convenience.

comfortable stay but small shower
The room was compact but comfortable, with a great selection of amenities like a fridge and coffee. Staff were helpful. Close to historic sites. We enjoyed walking to the harbor easily. The hotel had a good charm.
The shower was very small, which could be uncomfortable for larger guests.

Clean and well-presented rooms.
We were aware of the stairs, but it was quite a challenge after a long day. The noise from the pub downstairs was a real disturbance, especially in the evenings.

I found the young staff refreshing and the location excellent.
I found it a bit strange to be in a "gambling joint". However I got used to it.

Straightforward facilities, great location for access to shops, attractions, etc. Nice range of TV channels.
Late night noise, up to around midnight, probably worse in rooms facing the street. Could have provided snacks/drinks in the room, as shops close pretty early in downtown Hobart.

Property was great, I really enjoyed the stay.
The queen room I stayed in was beautifully maintained with a modern bathroom. There were a coffee maker, fridges, and glassware upon arrival. The location seemed particularly good right in the centre of the cbd...
